Solera Polo is a boutique polo service founded by Luis and Polina, two professional players who share a life built around horses. We are not a corporate operation and not a tourist attraction. We are two players who built a life around horses and invite others into that world.
Luis
Luis is a 4 goal AAP and 3 goal HPA professional player and an equine veterinarian, a rare combination that means every horse in our string is selected, trained and cared for with both a player's instinct and a clinician's eye. Our breeding programme, Cría Solera, is his creation, and the horses we bring to the field reflect his standard: sound, fit, and ready to compete. Luis holds Spanish and Argentine nationality and moves between both worlds each season.
Polina
Polina is a 5 goal ladies player and 1 goal mixed player, with a background in mathematics and corporate partnerships. She brings structure, precision and a perspective shaped by worlds beyond the polo field, which is why the experience we offer is as well organised off the horse as it is on it. With Hungarian and Russian nationality, and six languages between the two of us, we work comfortably across borders and cultures.

We are a team that understands the sport from every angle: breeding, veterinary care, training, competition, coaching, and the logistics of making it all work seamlessly.
Based between Sotogrande and Argentina, we offer a complete polo experience. Our string of twenty horses travels with us, selected from Cría Solera and from trusted Argentine bloodlines. Every horse is match fit, well schooled, and carefully matched to rider and level.
Polo has a reputation for being intimidating. We think it should feel like coming home.

Pilar, the Mecca of polo itself, and Luis's hometown Río Cuarto, a polo destination in its own right and home to Don Ercole, the Magrini family's world renowned embryo centre.
